Whitening

Teeth are at their whitest when they first come in and will turn more yellow or gray over time.  People usually start to notice this in their 20's.  Whitening or bleaching is a great way to brighten your smile and make a positive change in your appearance.  It is simple and does no damage to the teeth when used properly.  There are three ways to bleach:

Over the Counter:    Whitening products can be found at the store and are effective in some cases.  The concentration of the bleach is usually not as strong as those provided professionally and the results can be erratic, but it can be a good place to start for some people.

Take Home:    We will take impressions of your teeth to make custom trays that have an excellent fit to the teeth.  This will keep the bleach in contact with the teeth and minimize gum irritation.  The best results are obtained when the trays are worn at night for 10-14 consecutive days.

In-Office:    This entails a 90-minute session where three applications of a strong bleaching gel are provided in order to speed up the process.  This is followed up by 3-4 nights of home bleaching with custom trays in order to get the best results.
